Fellowship Overview:
The Division has an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology approved fellowship in gynecologic oncology. We offer two positions per year for a three-year fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology. Fellows will obtain advanced clinical and research training, with participation in the core Clinical Research Training Program.
Fellows will gain exposure to NIH-funded trials through the Gynecologic Oncology Group, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, and many other ongoing clinical and basic research projects. Clinical training is enhanced by active multidisciplinary collaboration with the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Radiation Oncology, and Surgical Oncology (at UPMC Shadyside).

Application Process:
The University of Pittsburgh Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program participates in the electronic application submission process ERAS.
Applications are due April 6, 2026. All applicants will be notified on May 11, 2026.
Our interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams and the dates are Friday, July 31 and Friday, August 14.

- Letter from Residency Program Director or OB/Gyn Chair Using the Standardized Residency PD/Supervisor SLOE form
- Letter from someone who can speak to your interest in Gyn Oncology, ie gyn oncology faculty, division director – using the Standardized Gyn Onc SLOE form
- One additional letter of your choice (Of Note: if you completed an away rotation at Sloan Kettering or MD Anderson we would like the letter from this rotation)
